Jake Schneider

 

Hockey Career

This is Jake’s 5th and final season with the Woodstock Navy Vets
and his 4th season as their Captain.

He was named Navy Vets Rookie of Year and Best Defensive Forward in 2012-13 season.

Jake scored the winning OT goal in 2013 NDJCHL All-Star Game.
Jake had 1 assist in the 2014 MWJCHL All-Star Game and had 2 goals and 2 assists in the 2015 MWJCHL All-Star Game.

For three consecutive seasons, he led the Navy Vets in assists in 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16.
He led the Navy Vets in PIM in both 2013-14 and the 2014-15 seasons.

 

Personal Life

Jake was born in Woodstock on April 14,1995.

He plays defence and just recently has been positioned as forward left wing.

Jake shoots left, stands 5’8” and weighs in at 180.

Jake’s aspiration is to become a Firefighter. He graduated Pre Firefighter Service Program 2015 - Conestoga College.

He is currently a full-time Sheet Metal Apprentice with Bucholtz Home Comfort and an Auxiliary Firefighter with SWOX Township.

 

Jake’s community involvement consists of Operation Sharing's Christmas Place,

and is currently with Novice MD Team assistant coach
and has been active with Woodstock Minor Hockey since 2014.

 

 

Jake's outside interests are staying fit, chilling with his buddies, and fishing.

Jake has hockey admirers in Woodstock and he takes the time to speak to each and every one of them
whether it is at the rink or at one of the local coffee shops when he is approached.

Dan Haig

 

Hockey Career

Dan started his hockey career in Woodstock with the Jr Navy Vets.

In 2003 Dan played for the team that got the purple orange and white banner in the complex.
In 2006 he was awarded the Graham Wallace award at the Woodstock Legion Tournament.
In 2008 he was named MVP in the Wayne Gretzky International Hockey Tournament,
and it was chosen by the coach of the Finland team.

Dan is in his 5th and final season with the Woodstock Navy Vets.
He was named Navy Vets Best Defensive Forward in 2014-15 & 2015-16 seasons.
Dan played in 2016 MWJCHL All-Star Game.

Dan has been one of the Assistant Captains of the Navy Vets since 2014-15 season.

 

 

 

Personal Life

Dan was born in Woodstock, Ontario on August 05, 1995.

Dan shoots right and plays Right Wing.

He stands 5’10” and weighs 165 pounds.

Dan attended Mohawk College of the Trades and took
the HVAC Technician and Apprenticeship program.

He is now working with “the old man”. We think he means
dad, at DL Haig Refrigeration.

 

Dan’s outside interests are hanging out with his friends, playing NHL on XBOX,
watching movies in his spare time, and searching for new music on the internet.

Dan and Jake have been friends since childhood.

Dan grew up watching the Navy Vets and was glad to be to become one
and play for the team for five years.

Jacob Brown

 

Hockey Career

Jacob, better known as Jake, is in his last year as a Woodstock Navy Vet.
Jake joined the Vets in the late 2014-15 season. He has been one of our most dependable defenceman.

Jake played his minor hockey in the Brantford minor system all the way through.
The biggest highlight of his minor hockey career was making it to major peewee OHA finals in Toronto
and winning game MVP award.

Every road trip to every game or tournament he played growing up with his parents
was special to him getting to spend time with them.

 

 

 

Personal Life

Jake was born on May 10,1995 and raised in Brantford Ontario.

Jake stands 5’5” and weighs in at solid 145 pounds.

Shooting left and plays defence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jake and older brother Mitch run the family's automotive business.

My aspirations for the future is to continue my racing career to the highest level possible,
and to travel the globe.

Jake stays in shape with Crossfit.
