The home opener has always been one of my favorite games to play in
because of the atmosphere our fans bring to the complex every year in excitement for a new season and new team.
This year playing Wellesley it adds excitement due to the fact
that they were our first round matchup last year in playoffs.

Kyle Walker comes home
Forward Kyle Walker has been acquired from the Brantford Jr. B 99ers in a cash deal.
The Woodstock native began his junior career in Burford and has spent the last two seasons playing in Brantford. Walker's playmaking and goal scoring ability resulted in back-to-back 50+ point seasons while in Brantford.
Justin Vandendool in from the Lincolns
Justin Vandendool has been acquired in a cash deal from the St. Mary's Lincolns. The local 6'1'' forward spent all of last season with the Lincolns registering 5 goals and 11 assists.

Goaltender: Mike Harrison
Forwards: Kurtis Christo, Warren Gorman and Austin Richardson
Defenceman: Jack Dorey
MIKE HARRISON (Goalie - 1996 - Woodstock) was acquired in 2015 from the Delhi Travellers. Last season Harrison was 13 - 10 in the regular season while posting a .894 save percentage.
KURTIS CHRISTO (Forward - 1999 - Woodstock) was brought in last season from the Burford Bulldogs. Christo had a combined 27 points in 45 games last season as a member of Burford/Woodstock.
WARREN GORMAN (Forward - 1998 - Woodstock) had a fantastic rookie campaign last season with the Navy Vets. He scored 10 goals and had 13 assists in 38 games with the club last year.
AUSTIN RICHARDSON (Forward - 1996 - Woodstock) is entering his 4th season with the club. Over the course of his career he has put up 94 points in 134 regular season games. While missing almost half the year last season due to injury he still managed to have 15 points in 23 games.
JACK DOREY (Defence - 1999 - Woodstock) is entering his second year with the Navy Vets. Jack had a fantastic first season with the club last year as he became increasingly more relied upon game after game.
The Navy Vets are very excited to have all five of these locals back with the club for another season.

Chris Nauts, Chris Jensen, Austin Sine and Jared Prekup have all been re-signed.
CHRIS NAUTS ⚓ (Defence - 1997 - Woodstock) has been with the club for the past three seasons as a forward. This year, the 20 year old is moving to the blueline.
CHRIS JENSEN ⚓ (Forward - 1997 - Woodstock) is entering his third full season with the team. The Woodstock native had 17 points in 35 games last season.
AUSTIN SINE ⚓ (Forward - 1997 - AYR) was brought in from the Paris Mounties prior to the start of the season last year. In 2016/17 he finished 3rd in points for the team with 15 goals and 28 assists in 38 games.
JARED PREKUP ⚓ (Forward - 1997 - Woodstock) was acquired late in the season last year from the Delhi Travellers. The 6'3" forward had 16 points last season as a member of Delhi and Woodstock.

Keaghan Brett signs.
We are very happy to announce the signing of local goaltender Keaghan Brett.
The 17 year old [2000] has spent the past two seasons with London AAA and Brantford AAA. Last year Brett practiced and played 4 games with the Navy Vets.
Woodstock's Liam Munro has been signed to the 2017/18 roster.

We are pleased to welcome forward Lucas Psenicka (Forward - Guelph - 1999) to Woodstock, Ontario!
The Guelph forward had a team leading 17 goals and 32 assists as a member of the Guelph Jr Gryphons midget AAA team.
The Navy Vets have signed Connor Dick (Forward - Guelph - 1999)
The 6'2" forward was a member of the Guelph Gryphons Midget AAA team, registering 10 goals and 19 assists last year.
We are very excited to announce Jamie Rogg as a member of the 2017/18 Woodstock Navy Vets.
(Defence - Geneva, Switzerland - 1998)
Jamie spent the last two years playing for Blyth Academy in Burlington and is now enrolled at Wilfred Laurier University.
Jamie will be added to the active roster once final paperwork is received from the IIHF to approve his participation in the OHA.
