Past Special Events"Hunger Game"Heart FM & Friends Hunger Game & Gabriel's Goal Hockey Game Location: Woodstock District Community Complex Date: Friday April 27th, 2012 @ 7:15pm Description: The Heart FM & Friends Hockey Team will be taking on the Woodstock Navy Vets in a Charity Game on Friday April 27th. This year we are supporting 2 initiatives. The Food For Friends Program run through Operation Sharing and Gabriel’s Goal to Beat Cancer. Gabriel is a young boy that is fighting leukemia and in his battle his family is taking time off work to be with their young son and is in need of financial support. Admission to the game is $5 a person and we're encouraging everyone to bring a non perishable food item. There will be a chuck a puck event and raffle prizes including tickets to Stars On Ice in Hamilton and much more. Sport Chek Grand Opening !! New Woodstock location of Sport Chek Grand Opening on Saturday March 31 & Sunday April 1 Navy Vets players will be in attendance both days doing promotion .... Saturday: Casey Scheltema, Mackenzie Langford, Ryan Wells .. Sunday: Darcey Butler, Michael Roefs, Kyle Jones, Spencer Meron, Tyler Lyons. (other players also making appearances could be named later) Eastdale Public School NightEastdale Public School would like thank the many dedicated fans of the Woodstock Navy Vets for their contributions made over this past season to the 50/50 Draws.
The Navy Vets will be hosting an Eastdale School Night on January 27, 2012 during their final home game of the regular season against the Norwich Merchants. Many door prizes to be won!
Make sure you have your name on your flex pass on the 27th to be eligible to win!!! 2012 NDJHL All-Star GameThe East Division defeated the West Division 6-1 in the annual NDJHL All-Star Game played on Saturday Jan.07 in Caledonia. The Navy Vets' Mackenzie Langford assisted on the West goal. Family NightFriday December 30th2011 is Family Night with the Woodstock Navy Vets when they host the Simcoe Storm @ 7:45 p.m.. at the complex. There will be lots of door prizes, free give aways and the first 100 people through the gate will receive a coupon to be used at the Kuma concession stand that night. To be eligible for door prizes, you must have a ticket! Tickets available from Executive members at the game on December 23, 2011 or reserve yours by contacting Michele at micgil@rogers.com . Tickets are 10 for $50.00, what a great gift for your friends, families, employees or co-workers, what a great way to spend the evening! Some door prizes include – bicycle, cards for 10 skate sharpening, food coupons from various Woodstock locations, hockey equipment cleaning, etc. Come on out and support your Navy Vets, enjoy a great game and maybe take home a prize or two. See you then! Teddy Bear Toss TEDDY BEAR TOSS The Navy Vets will be having their annual Teddy Bear Toss when they host the Paris Mounties. You can purchase bears at the game or you can bring your own ... and all bears collected that are thrown on the ice after the 1st Navy Vets goal of the evening will be donated to Heart-FM for their Fill a Truck Event. Note: 128 Teddy Bears were thrown on the ice and collected on Friday December 9, 2011 at Southwood Arena when the Navy Vets' Tyler Lyons scored their first goal at 18:25 of the 1st period against Paris. Many thanks to Tigercat Industries Inc for sponsoring this event and to all the teddy bear tossers. All of the teddy bears and the $426.00 raised from the sale of teddy bears at the game have been donated to the Heart-FM Toy Truck Event.
REMEMBRANCE JERSEYS The auction winners of the Remembrance Day Jerseys worn by the Navy Vets will also be presented with their sweaters before the game. Embro Minor Hockey NightEMBRO MINOR HOCKEY NIGHT It will be Embro Minor Hockey Night at the Complex on Friday December 02 during the Navy Vets game against Glanbrook. Salvation Army Food DriveSALVATION ARMY FOOD DRIVE The annual Salvation Army Food Drive will take place at the Complex during the Navy Vets games from Friday November 25 to Friday December 02.
